Keila’s been a fixture in the LA comedy scene for a long time. Despite growing up believing she was meant to be a serious actress, life had other plans. After graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in theater, her gateway drug into the world of laughs was improv at UCB, followed by sketch comedy on a house team at The Pack Theater. Keila has since evolved into a solo act with her dark, Millennial, very physical and silly brand of humor. She’s had the privilege of playing big stages such as The Comedy Store, The Ice House, and Flappers.

Past shows include: The Scramble, a brunch variety show at The Pack Theater, Turncoat sketch comedy, directed by Eric Moneypenny (ADHD) and Joe Wagner (The Midnight Show), as well as indie improv teams like Dub Set, Eagle Beagle, and Pizza Cat Cat - with Anna Akana. During the Covid pandemic, Keila hosted a funny mental health podcast, interviewing entertainers about their issues and advocating for mental health awareness - Crying Behind Sunglasses. Guests included SNL’s Carl Tart, Love Is Blind contestant Nick Thompson, Barry Katz, and Santina Muha. She also co-hosted the Kings of Influence podcast with Ray William Johnson and Epic Lloyd.

Keila also starred in many BuzzFeed videos in the 2010s. Chloe Zak wrote a series of videos for Keila, including The Organized Friend. Her claim to fame was winning a Drunk vs High pizza eating contest, despite being lactose intolerant. It was worth it.
